Gio Movement Academy (the “Company”) respects the privacy concerns of the users of its website, www.giomovementacademy.com and the services provided therein (the “Site”). The Company thus provides this privacy statement to explain what information is gathered during a visit to the Site and how such information may be used. If there are terms in this privacy notice that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our services and the website immediately.

    We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

    • Register to Gio Movement Academy website

    • Express interest in our services, offers, coaching and programmes (collectively named “Services”)

    • Enrol to free and/or paid Services or related programmes, coaching on our website

      Note: we may send you emails about our site and related course(s), registration, course content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to the course, special offers, events, survey you about your usage, or feedback.

    We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate our website. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include, but not limited to, device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, information about how and when you use our website, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

    No, we do not share or sell your personal information with anyone. 

    Please note: when you share personal information or otherwise interact with public areas of the website, such personal information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly made available outside the website in perpetuity. If you interact with other users of our website and register for our Services through a social network (such as Facebook, Google), your contacts on the social network will see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity if applicable. 
     

  6. HOW DO WE GET YOUR CONSENT?
    When you provide us with personal information to become a learner on our site, make a purchase, or participate in the course, you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

    If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no (for example through, but not limited to, Cookies Consent forms and pop ups).

    If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us through the contact page found on Gio Movement Academy website.

    Gio Movement Academy offers you the ability to register and login using your third-party social media account details (like your Facebook or Twitter logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, friends list, profile picture as well as other information you choose to make public on such social media platform.

    We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant parts of the website. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider.     Our servers are located in the United Kingdom.   10. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION FOR?
    We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements).

    When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

    Account Information
    If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can contact us using the contact details provided on the Site or in this privacy notice.

    Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms & Conditions and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

    Opting out of email marketing
    You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send or by contacting us using the details provided below. You will then be removed from the marketing email list. However, we may still communicate with you, for example to send you service-related emails that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes. To otherwise opt-out, you may request to terminate your account as described above.
     

  12. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
    Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
     

  13. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC RIGHTS?
    California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.

    If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with Gio Movement Academy, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Site. To request removal of such data, please contact us using the contact information provided below, and include the email address associated with your account and a statement that you reside in California. We will make sure the data is not publicly displayed on the Site, but please be aware that the data may not be completely or comprehensively removed from all our systems (e.g. backups, etc.)
     

  14. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
    We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and/or that you have obtained consent from your parent or guardian to use the Site and Gio Movement Academy. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18 (without consent of their parent or guardian), please contact us using the contact channels provided on Gio Movement Academy.

    We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms and Conditions Policy.
     

  16. SERVICES HOSTING
    Our Services and Gio Movement Academy website are hosted by Wix Ltd. They provide us with the online course creation platform that allows us to sell our product/services to you.

    Your data is stored through Wix’s data storage, databases and the general Wix application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
     

  17. PAYMENT
    If you make a purchase on our site, we use a third party payment processor such as Stripe or Paypal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

    All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

    PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.

  18. THIRD PARTY SERVICES
    In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

    However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

    For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

    Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

    Once you leave our course website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

    When you click on links on our course site, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
     

  20. SECURITY
    To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

    If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

    We may update this privacy notice from time to time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.

    If our site or course is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
