Cancellations and Refunds Policy

This policy sets out the Cancellation and Refunds Policy for Gio Movement Academy (“Company”, “us”, “our”, “we”) which its users (the “User”) can avail of.

We are happy to welcome you onboard at Gio Movement Academy. We value you as a member of our community and are committed to deliver the best experience we can. As such, we are happy to allow refunds. Please find below the terms and conditions of our Cancellations and Refunds Policy.

A note from Gio: most fitness programme creators do not offer refunds and cancellations due to the risks mentioned below. However, we value you and your experience in the Academy so we thought you would appreciate knowing that cancellations and refunds are permitted in our Academy. We have put a lot of efforts and resources in creating our programmes for you and we have also put ourselves forward and trust in you by offering cancellations and refunds. In exchange, we trust you will respect us in return!
 

  1. HOW DO REFUNDS WORK?
    We offer a 3-day money back guarantee on our paid courses and programmes and a refund will be issued if you meet ALL the following criteria:

    • You must provide a cancellation and refund written notice to us within 3 days of receiving your order confirmation/invoice. The cancellation and refund written notice should follow a specific format: see below the section entitled “How to request a refund?” for details.

    • Your Accumulation Time must not be greater than 5 videos of the actual programme/course content. See below the section entitled “Understanding your accumulation time” for details.

      The Company is not obligated by any means but reserves its sole right and may, as a gesture of good will, accept a cancellation and refund request under the following circumstances:

      • You have accidentally registered for the wrong course/programme. If this happens, contact us IMMEDIATELY and let us know which programme you were meant to register for. You must notify us in writing within 24-hours of placing the order. We will then examine your request and let you know how to transfer to the right programme.

      • Any other circumstances the Company deems reasonable.

        ​Note: helping people with fitness education is something we are very passionate about which is why we have put great effort and resources in developing our courses, programmes and platforms and are continuing to do so while maintaining and updating them. Thus, as part of the Cancellation and Refund procedures we may kindly ask and would appreciate if you could give us some constructive feedback so we can understand how we can improve.
         

  2. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND?
    You must provide a cancellation and refund written notice to us within 5 days of receiving your order confirmation/invoice on the following email:

    Email: movementgio@gmail.com

    You must adhere to the following email format, otherwise we might not be able to process your cancellation and refund notice:

    • Subject line: 

      • “Cancellation and Refund Request” – [Your Order ID]

      • Example: Cancellation and Refund Request - 1090999

    • Body: please include the following information in the body of your request

      • “I would like to request a cancellation and refund for my order ID:” [Your Order ID]

      • Name of the programme

      • Date of purchase as noted on the invoice

      • Alternatively, you can link/attach the proof of membership or invoice
         

  3. HOW AND WHEN DO WE ISSUE REFUNDS?
    Upon determining that a cancellation or refund is due to you under these terms, we will issue such refund or cancellation within 30 days. The refund will be processed using same payment method you have used to purchase the corresponding course and/or programme. Depending on your payment method, please allow extra time for your payment to be processed and come through.

    Note: payment gateway fees, if any, are to be covered by you, the User, and Gio Movement Academy cannot, in any circumstances, be held liable for these. The reason for this is that we already incur significant recurring expenses on a monthly basis to be able to provide courses and programmes for you and we would not be able to do so if we covered payment gateway fees associated with your transaction.

    Once your access to the paid course and/or programme has been removed, you will not be able to:

    • Access any part of the course and/or programme

    • Receive any discounts included in your membership for that course/programme or

    • Receive any BONUS associated with that course/programme
       

  4. UNDERSTANDING YOUR ACCUMULATION TIME
    One of the mandatory clauses to be eligible for cancellations and refunds states that “Your Accumulation Time must not be greater than 5 videos of the actual programme/course content”. 

    Your Accumulation Time is simply the count of videos you have watched which form part of the “actual programme/course content”. The “actual programme/course content” are all video which are not part of the dashboard. Please note a video will be marked by the system as “watched” once you click on the play button regardless if you have watched it fully or partially.
     

  5. UNDERSTANDING WHY WE IMPLEMENTED THESE POLICIES
    The Handstand Programme is not a subscription-based programme, but it is a one-time payment for life giving you access to everything in the programme at once. Despite having controls in place to monitor copyright infringement and intellectual property infringement (such as controls for detection of screen recordings and One Active Device technology which allows access to only one device at a time – think of Netflix), there is still a risk of content piracy and Intellectual Property (IP) infringement. 

    That being said, the Handstand Programme should provide you with more than enough information to decide if the programme is right for you by: 

    • Providing a detailed showcase of features and benefits of the programme on the sales page of the programme

    • Providing a FREE tier plan (no card or payment required) which is meant for you to get a feel for the full programme by:

      • giving you access to the dashboard

      • giving you access to content from all sections to get a feel for the teaching style

      • giving you full and partial access to the tools

      • giving you enough to start learning the Freestanding Handstand 

    • Providing a way to get in touch and let us know what you are unsure about. We will be happy to discuss and find the right solution for you, even if that means the right solution is not our programme.

  6. CANCELLATION BY GIO MOVEMENT ACADEMY
    The Company reserves its sole right and may cancel your membership to courses and programmes in circumstances where you violated the Company’s Terms & Conditions.   7. CHANGES TO THIS CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS POLICY
    We may update this Cancellations and Refunds Policy from time to time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this cancellation and refunds notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification.
